01 who i am
whappa multimedia design is a sole proprietorship based in valkenburg, the netherlands, registered with the chamber of commerce. i am responsible ("data controller" in gdpr terms) for the personal data you entrust to me via this website, my products (cohesion, stocksmith, digitaal lootje, happy stone id) or a direct engagement.
02 what data i collect
not everything at once, it depends on what you do:
- contact via form or email. name, email, company (optional), and the content of your message.
- cohesion alpha signup. name, work email, role, association name, member count, current tooling.
- an account with digitaal lootje or happy stone id. your email address and whatever you enter into the product yourself, such as group names, wish lists or find locations.
- stocksmith (ios app). whappa collects no app data. everything stays on your device or in your own icloud. see section 06.
- site visit. anonymous visit statistics without personal identifiers (see section 07).
03 why i use it
the legal basis per purpose:
- to reply to your question or prepare a quote. basis: performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b gdpr).
- to deliver products and updates. basis: performance of a contract.
- to meet legal obligations (such as bookkeeping retention). basis: legal obligation.
- to keep the site and products technically functional and ward off spam. basis: legitimate interest.
04 how long i keep data
- contact messages: 2 years after last contact, then automatically deleted.
- client data and invoices: 7 years (dutch tax retention rule).
- accounts with digitaal lootje and happy stone id: as long as the account is active, plus 30 days after cancellation for recovery requests.

as few as possible. these are the parties that get to see any of your data, and exactly what:
06 stocksmith (ios app)
stocksmith forge is an ios app for cost-price calculation of 3d-printed products. the privacy baseline: whappa collects virtually nothing itself.
what the app does not do:
- no user accounts or login with whappa
- no analytics, tracking, or advertising sdks
- app data does not leave your device towards whappa: everything stays local or in your own icloud
- no cookies in the app
- no sale or sharing of data with third parties
what the app does do:
- icloud sync. your materials, products, boms, listings and settings are stored in your icloud via apple cloudkit. whappa has no access. subject to apple's privacy policy.
- nfc scanning (optional pro feature). the app can read rfid tags on filament spools. all data is processed locally only and does not leave the device.
- in-app purchases. purchases go through apple storekit. whappa receives only anonymised transaction confirmations: no credit card details, no identity.
08 your rights
under gdpr you have the right to:
- access. a copy of all data i have about you.
- correction. have incorrect data adjusted.
- deletion. "to be forgotten", as far as i have no retention obligation.
- restriction. temporarily pause the processing.
- portability. receive your data in a readable format.
- objection. stop processing on the basis of legitimate interest.
- file a complaint. with the dutch data protection authority.

california (ccpa): whappa does not sell or share personal information as defined by the california consumer privacy act.
09 children
the stocksmith app and the whappa.com website are not directed at children under 13. i do not knowingly collect data from minors. stocksmith carries a 4+ age rating in the app store.
if you believe a child under 13 has submitted data, please mail hello@whappa.com. i will delete it as soon as possible.
10 changes
if this policy changes, i update the date at the top of the page. for significant changes i will notify active users where i have a means to do so.
